Communities Rising is operating in 26 schools, educating over 2,600 students

Communities Rising works in the rural villages and towns of the Villupuram District in Tamil Nadu. Many of our students live below the Indian poverty line of $2.15/day. 64% of our students’ fathers do not have a full-time job. A third of our students do not have an indoor toilet. 88% are Dalits.
